Good morning, Mets fans!!

Only one thing could quell a red-hot Jason Vargas: Mother Nature. Yesterday’s opening game versus the Yankees was postponed due to rain and as such, the Mets have a doubleheader scheduled today against the Bronx-Bombers.

Zack Wheeler (5-3, 4.61 ERA) will take the ball against Masahiro Tanaka (3-5, 3.42 ERA) in the first game while the nightcap will feature a matchup between James Paxton (3-2, 3.11 ERA) and the Mets’ ace Jason Vargas (2-3, 3.57 ERA). The first game will start at 1:05 p.m. while the second one will begin at 7:05 p.m. Both games can be viewed on SNY and WCBS 880.
