Good morning, Mets fans!

Bradford William Davis of Insider reported that MLB has announced that spring training will be delayed until at least March 5.

This comes just one day after MLB told the MLBPA that the date a new CBA is needed to start the 2022 season on time is February 28. That prompted the announcement that the two sides will be meeting every day next week to try to negotiate a deal in time.

While this news is no surprise, it is the first time we have had a postponement become official. The clock is ticking before more things end up being pushed back. Fans are hopeful that MLB won’t need to delay anything further.
