The Mets picked up the club options on Asdrubal Cabrera and Jerry Blevins. The latter was a no-brainer and the former was one that has been widely speculated.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com says the Mets have not decided where Cabrera will play yet. It can be second or third base.

Jenrry Mejia started for the for Navegantes de Magallanes of the Venezuelan Winter League. He is still under Mets control.

The Mets brought Phillip Evans back yesterday on a minor league deal.
