Good morning Mets fans! Yesterday, the resilient Mets bounced back from their six-run meltdown on Tuesday, to take the series in D.C. on Wednesday.

Zack Wheeler did not have his best stuff, but scratched out five innings of one-run baseball. His offense would provide all the support needed driving in eight runs on 13 hits.

The Mets now come back home to face the Philadelphia Phillies in a three-game set. The club has a rare day off on Thursday before lefty Steven Matz (9-8, 4.04 ERA) takes the hill Friday night versus Phillies right-hander Zach Eflin (8-11, 4.33 ERA) in game one of the series.

First pitch will be thrown at 7:10 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on SNY.
