Good morning, Mets fans! And what a good morning it truly is!

On Saturday, the Mets won another thriller against the Washington Nationals by a score of 4-3. Noah Syndergaard started the game and went seven strong innings, gave up two runs on seven hits and logged five strikeouts.

J.D. Davis and Wilson Ramos provided some thunder as they hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning to tie the game. After Seth Lugo gave the Nationals the lead in the eighth, Luis Guillorme came on from the bench and hit a game-tying home run in the bottom of the inning.

Lugo would close out the game in the ninth and collected his third save of the year. With the win, New York has now won 15 of their last 16 contests. Simply amazin’!

Today, the Mets try to sweep the Nationals in their pivotal three game series. Jacob deGrom will start against Anibal Sanchez. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m (EST) and can be seen on SNY.
