
Good Morning, Mets fans!
Tuesday marked the second day of the offseason for the Mets, but it was the first day of the postseason for all of baseball. Four games were played yesterday; the Yankees beat the Indians, 12-3, the Rays beat the Blue Jays, 3-1, the White Sox beat the Athletics, 4-1, and the Astros beat the Twins, 4-1.
Today is the second day of the playoffs and you can check out all of the games that are being played today as well as the rest of the week here.

1988: Joining Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, and Dwight Gooden, David Cone improves his record to 20-3, becoming the fourth pitcher in Mets history to win twenty games in a season.
1979: In his last big-league game, Ed Kranepool pinch hit in the top of the seventh inning and doubled off Bob Forsch as the Mets beat the Cardinals in the 1979 season finale in St. Louis, 4-2.
1999: Mets’ shortstop Rey Ordonez played his 96th consecutive game without committing an error, breaking Cal Ripken’s major league record for errorless games in that position.
