Per Jacob Resnick of SNY, Mets shortstop prospect Kevin Kendall had surgery on his non-throwing arm. Per Kendall’s Instagram, there is no word on severity of the shoulder injury.

The New York Mets announced on Saturday that right-handed pitcher Edwin Diaz has been placed on the Bereavement List to be wit family in Puerto Rico following the passing of his grandfather. Left-handed pitcher David Peterson has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse and will wear No. 23.
