The Mets announced that they were optioning three players to Triple-A Syracuse: RHP Tyler Bashlor, SS Andres Gimenez, and C Ali Sanchez.

The Mets’ Social Media Correspondent Alyssa Rose, spoke with Drew Smith on his road back from his Tommy John Surgery and how he was able to overcome some of the physical and mental challenges that present themselves with the recovery process. The video can be found on the team’s YouTube channel.

Kristie Ackert, New York Yankees journalist for the Daily News, reported that along with Aaron Judge‘s known rib fracture, he was also suffering from a collapsed lung. Fortunately, his collapsed lung has since healed and he is doing well.

The lawyer for the Boston Red Sox spoke with the New York Post and talked about the investigation against the team and states, “The team is not prepared to admit they violated any sign-stealing.”

The Seattle Mariners have placed RHP Sam Tuivailala on release waivers.

The San Diego Padres announced on Friday afternoon that both Andres Munoz and Reggie Lawson will undergo Tommy John surgery.

The Toronto Blue Jays have optioned RHP Sean Reid-Foley and former Met, the LHP Anthony Kay.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned RHP Jon Duplantier.

Mike Rizzo, general manager of the Washington Nationals, spoke out on Friday morning about the teams efforts during this trying time. According to Washington Post writer Jesse Dougherty, Rizzo mentioned that the organization was “‘certainly’ prepared” to give financial help to their minor league players if necessary, but they decided to wait until MLB made their decision before acting on those plans.

During his press conference, Rizzo also mentioned that the team had no players show symptoms of the coronavirus to the extent that they would need to be tested and therefore no Washington Nationals have been tested for the virus, according to Britt Ghiroli of the Athletic.

Kyle Glaser of Baseball America looked at the day Ronald Acuna Jr. signed with the Atlanta Braves. The article mentions that on the day he signed, on July 2nd of 2014, Acuna Jr.’s mind was set on signing with another team prior to his conversation with the Braves.

The Atlanta Braves also optioned RHP Touki Toussaint.
