The Mets are off tonight after taking three out of four from the Cincinnati Reds. The Mets took the first three games but we’re unable to complete the sweep. They will head to Chicago to take on the Cubs starting Tuesday night.

The Mets lost the series finale yesterday. They were winning 5-2 heading into the seventh thanks to the strong pitching of Jacob deGrom. In the seventh, the defense did not help out the pitching after Jose Reyes could not turn an easy double play. They proceeded to blow the lead thanks to a home run by Zack Cozart and Jeurys Familia struggled in the eighth inning. They snapped a four-game winning streak.

With the loss, the Mets remain without a home series sweep in 2017.
