Major League Baseball announced on Friday that the league’s relationship with former player and league consultant Roberto Alomar was terminated in response to an allegation of sexual misconduct. Alomar has been placed on the Ineligible List. The Toronto Blue Jays released their own statement later on via Twitter, supporting the MLB’s decision.
The Mets will look to rebound tonight from Friday night’s dreadful loss to the Phillies, as Taijuan Walker takes on the Philadelphia lineup at 6:05 p.m. EST. Before we can get to that, however, let’s dive into what happened in Mets-land and around Major League Baseball on Friday.
