Good morning, Mets fans!
On Tuesday, it was announced that the MLB was cancelling the first two series of the MLB season due to the delays in CBA discussions. Since then, several players including Anthony Rizzo, Mike Trout, Ross Stripling, Lance McCullers, and Jason Heyward have all expressed their frustrations with the situation. Additionally, Mike Trout, arguably the face of baseball, tweeted this statement Wednesday afternoon:

1956: Manhattan Borough President Hulan Jack proposed that the city build a 110,000 seat stadium in Manhattan’s upper-west side. This stadium would also been for the New York Giants and it would have been the largest baseball stadium ever built in North America (in terms of capacity). However, the price tag of around 75 million dollars was too much for the city. Therefore, New York City later decided to build Shea Stadium for 28.5 million dollars and the rest is history.
