New York mayor Eric Adams is lifting the vaccine mandate for New York’s professional athletes. This change will allow unvaccinated Mets and Yankees players to compete in home games starting on April 15 and April 7 respectively.

The cause of this sudden pivot by Eric Adams most likely has to do with increasing pressure surrounding Kyrie Irving‘s availability for Brooklyn Nets’ home games at the Barclays Center.

Alden González of ESPN reports that the five-option limit that was introduced in the latest CBA will not begin until May 2 (when the rosters return to 26). Options before May 2nd will not count against the limit.

Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Athletics and Stephen Vogt have agreed on a major league deal, pending a physical.

Bobby Nightengale Jr. of Enquirer reports that the Reds are in agreement with outfielder Tommy Pham on a one year deal with a mutual option in 2023. The deal is pending a physical.
