Good Morning Mets fans!

The New York Mets (43-51) won 3-2 over the first-place Minnesota Twins (58-35) on Tuesday. In his return from the bullpen, Steven Matz gave up two runs in four innings. Matz was taken out due to a 75-80 pitch count in efforts to ease him back into a starting role. Notably, Michael Conforto went 4-for-4 and an amazin’ leaping catch.

On Wednesday, the Mets will play another interleague game against the Twins at Target Field, as the Mets try to take the series! Jason Vargas (3-5, 4.23 ERA) will take the hill for the Mets against Martin Perez (8-3, 4.26 ERA) of the Twins.
