Per Ken Davidoff of the New York Post, agent Lou Nero said former Mets first baseman Ike Davis has retired. Davis, who played for the Mets from 2010 to 2013, has not appeared in a Major League game since 2016.

Joel Sherman reports that CC Sabathia and the Yankees are finalizing a one-year contract worth $8 million. According to Sherman, Sabathia wanted to work out a deal quickly.

Jon Morosi of MLB.com reports that the Dodgers are showing interest in free agent second baseman DJ LeMahieu. LeMahieu slashed .276/.321/.428 last season in Colorado.
The San Francisco Giants have hired Farhan Zaidi as their President of Baseball Operations, the former general manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Zaidi had held his former role with the Dodgers since November 2014.
The Dodgers are planning to hold on to manager Dave Roberts, per MLB Trade Rumors. Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports tweets that the Dodgers and Roberts will complete a 4-year deal.
Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports that the Mariners and general manager Jerry Dipoto are considering a teardown this off-season. Heyman adds that the Mariners plan to hold on to outfielder Mitch Haniger, relief pitcher Edwin Díaz and starting pitcher Marco Gonzales, but all others are available.
Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports that Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. had Tommy John surgery Tuesday. Jake Kaplan of The Athletic adds that McCullers Jr. pitched through a forearm and elbow issue to end the season.

Bob Nightengale tweets that the Nationals’ long-term offer to Bryce Harper would have paid him about $30 million a year. Nightengale adds that the Phillies, Giants, and Cardinals are expected to be players for Harper this offseason.
Douglas Hanks of the Miami Herald writes that the Marlins home run statue has been dismantled. Hanks notes that the sculpture will be stored in Marlins Park until it is eventually rebuilt outside the stadium.
