Good morning, Mets fans!

On Friday night, a blown save by Edwin Diaz left the Mets pressed for another walk-off win at home and, thankfully, Pete Alonso drew the game-winning walk to drive in Juan Lagares for a Mets win. Two great at-bats from Lagares and J.D. Davis led off the bottom of the ninth inning after they spent the whole game on the bench. A hit by pitch off the elbow guard of Jeff McNeil loaded the bases for Pete Alonso with two outs.

After falling behind in the count and swinging at a pitch out of the strike zone, Alonso worked to get his full count and took a ball low and out of the zone for the win. The ripped shirt after a walk-off win tradition continues as Alonso spoke to reporters bared chested after the game.

On Saturday, Marcus Stroman (7-12, 3.28) will face off against Drew Smyly (3-6, 6.65) at 7 p.m. EST and will be broadcasted from SNY and can be heard on WCBS 880 AM and ESPN 1050 AM radio.
