Morning Briefing: Mets Sink To 8.5 Games Behind Braves

This time, Jeurys Familia and Drew Gagnon combined to allow seven runs in 1.1 innings while starter Zack Wheeler didn’t fare much better, permitting ten hits and four runs in six innings. It all culminated in an embarrassing 12-3 defeat which has the Mets currently sitting 8.5 games behind the division-leading Braves and 5.5 games out of a Wild Card spot.
