The Mets are set to begin a two-game series with the Orioles on Tuesday night before facing off against the Padres again this weekend. Baltimore (21-38) is coming off a series loss to Cleveland last weekend.

New York will send lefty David Peterson (1-4, 5.89 ERA) to the mound as he faces off against Baltimore left-hander Bruce Zimmermann (3-3, 4.96 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. and will be broadcasted on WCBS 880 and WQBU 92.7 and can be seen on SNY.

Mets pitching coordinator Brian DeLunas is expected to be hired by the University of Missouri as its pitching coach, per Kendall Rodgers of D1Baseball. DeLunas has been with the Mets since February and was previously with the Mariners organization.

Former Met Sam Haggerty has been transferred to the Mariners’ 60-day injury list after being placed on the 10-day IL on May 24. Haggerty is suffering from right shoulder inflammation.

San Francisco Giants announcer Duane Keiper will be missing “a few more Giants broadcasts than usual” as he must take chemotherapy treatments, according to a statement released by the team. Keiper did not specify what he was diagnosed with.

According to Connor Byrne of MLB Trade Rumors, the Phillies have reinstated Scott Kingery from the team’s injured list and out-righted him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The utility player has underperformed for Philadelphia this season, garnering just one hit in 19 games.

Twins centerfielder Byron Buxton is set to begin a rehab on Tuesday with Triple-A St. Paul, per Betsy Helfand of the Pioneer Press. Buxton was batting .370 in 92 plate appearances before being placed on the 10-day IL.

Brewers infielder Keston Hiura is being optioned back to Triple-A Nashville as he has struggled in Milwaukee this season batting .130, per the team’s Twitter account.

Baseball America released an updated Top 100 prospects list, its first significant in-season update. The list has Mets Advanced-A prospects Francisco Álvarez at No. 21 and Ronny Mauricio at No. 57.

The San Francisco Giants wore MLB’s first jerseys with pride colors in honor of LGBTQ+ Pride month on Saturday. The jerseys were cream-colored with a multi-colored ‘SF’ logo on its sleeve and cap.
