Good morning, Mets fans!

After splitting Monday’s doubleheader with the Braves, the Mets will look to take a series lead in Game 3 of the series on Tuesday night at Citi Field. The Mets will send TBD to the mound to start off a bullpen game against Atlanta righty Charlie Morton (9-3, 3.65 ERA).

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. and will be broadcast on WCBS 880 and WQBU 92.7. The game will also be televised on SNY.

As the trade deadline inches closer, the Mets are favored to trade for some of the biggest names up for grabs, per Odds Checker. New York is favored to land Cubs pitcher Craig Kimbrel, Cubs utility player Kris Bryant and Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer.

Five New York prospects are listed in Baseball America’s latest top 100 prospects list with Francisco Álvarez leading the Mets at No. 18. Brett Baty (No. 65), Kumar Rocker (No. 66), Ronny Mauricio (No. 71) and Mark Vientos (No. 97) are also in the rankings.

According to Mike DiGiovanna of the LA Times, the majority of Dodgers players do not want pitcher Trevor Bauer back on the team “under any circumstances.” This comes after Bauer was put on paid administrative leave due to sexual assault allegations.

The Pirates have traded righty Clay Holmes to the Yankees in exchange for prospects Diego Castillo and Hoy Park. Holmes has pitched in 44 games for the Bucs, amounting to a 3-2 record and a 4.93 ERA.

Red Sox second round draft pick Jud Fabian isn’t signing with the team, according to Peter Gammons of MLB Network. Two teams which picked behind Boston talked $3 million dollar deals with their selections but the Red Sox won’t give the Florida center fielder that much.
