The Mets fell back to .500 (70-70) after losing 2-1 in extra innings against the Marlins. Luckily for the Mets, the Phillies and the Braves also lost on Wednesday. In honor of the 20th anniversary of September 11, The Amazin’ Mets Foundation teamed up with Operation Gratitude to support first responders to assemble 10,000 care packages to be delivered to the NYPD, FDNY and other first responder agencies.
Aaron Loup plans to stay with the Mets beyond 2021, saying, “I am hoping they intend to sign me back.” So far this season, Loup has a 1.09 ERA in 49.2 innings pitched.
