Good Morning Mets Fans. The New York Mets (8-11) will begin their series against the Atlanta Braves (6-12) tonight after having last night’s game washed out from the rain. Noah Syndergaard will get the start as he looks to snap the team’s skid and will be opposed by Julio Teheran.

Tonight’s game is scheduled for a 7:10 PM ET start and can be seen on SNY as well as heard on 710 WOR.

LATEST METS NEWS

Kevin Kernan of the NY Post spoke with Terry Collins on Tuesday about how this season has started for the Mets. Collins is not about to panic at this juncture as he trusts the talent in his clubhouse. As many note, they are just a streak of wins away from busting out of an early season slump and this team is more than capable to produce that.

Yoenis Cespedes and Travis d’Arnaud were set to return in Tuesday’s game before it was rained out. The extra day of rest is sure to help both players. Having Cespedes back in the lineup could be exactly the jolt of energy this team needs to get back on track as the offense has seem futile without him. Read more from Kristie Ackert in the NYDN.

Joe Giglio of NJ.com reports on a trade rumor resurfacing of the Mets bringing in Todd Frazier. The third baseman is off to a rough start on the year, batting to a .156/.250/.311 line to go along with one homer and six RBI. Frazier for most of his career has been a decent power hitter but is too much of a free swinger, something this lineup does not really need.
