Good morning, Mets fans!

Today, the Mets will play their third game of the spring, taking on the Nationals at 1:05 p.m. The game will be played at FITTEAM Ballpark in the Palm Beaches and will not be televised or available to be heard on radio.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com tweeted out that the group of Mets pitchers expected to make an appearance include David Peterson, Paul Sewald, Jordan Humphreys, Erasmo Ramirez, and Walker Lockett. Peterson, Humphreys and Lockett all rank on MMO’s list of the top-30 Mets prospects.

Yesterday, Steven Matz endured a difficult first inning, allowing a leadoff home run to Harrison Bader. Following Matz was Jeurys Familia, who entered spring 30 pounds lighter. He utilized a nasty splitter en route to a scoreless second frame. Franklyn Kilome allowed a two-run shot to Edmudo Sosa in the eighth inning, which accounted for the only other Cardinals tallies.

Jake Marisnick hit the Mets’ first dinger of the spring with a second inning homer. A Ryan Cordell double and a J.D. Davis sac fly helped the Mets come back from a 3-1 deficit, although, the game ended in a 3-3 draw.
