On Saturday, the Mets defeated the Pirates 7-5 behind a strong offensive performance by Wilson Ramos. Ramos drove in six out of the Mets seven runs, hitting an RBI single in the first, a two-run homer in the eighth, and clearing the bases with a double in the ninth.
Marcus Stroman made his Mets debut, lasting 4 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on seven hits, collecting three strikeouts.
Today, the Mets face the Pirates in the rubber match of their three-game series. Noah Syndergaard will face off against Joe Musgrove. The game will be on at 1:35 p.m. and can be seen on SNY.
