Good morning Mets fans! On Wednesday, the trade deadline came and went without the New York Mets making any moves on Wednesday.

Late game heroics from Todd Frazier and Michael Conforto helped the team defeat the White Sox 4-2 and pickup their sixth straight win. They are now only three games under .500 and four back of the Nationals in the wild card.

Jacob deGrom helped his team inch closer in the wild card race, as he dazzled for seven innings allowing one run on five hits with eleven strikeouts to lower his ERA to 2.78.

This afternoon, Zack Wheeler (7-6, 4.71 ERA), who the Mets surprisingly held onto despite public expectations, will go up against White Sox starter Dylan Cease (1-3, 6.86 ERA).

First pitch is at 2:10 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on SNY.

Now let’s take a look at what else went on around the league yesterday in the aftermath of the deadline!
