Good morning Mets fans! The Winter Meetings have come and gone and many players remain available in trades and via free agency. Despite already making some moves, Brodie Van Wagenen is still not finished for this offseason.

The Mets selected RHP Kyle Dowdy in the Rule 5 Draft. The last Rule 5 selection that the Mets made who lasted a whole season was Sean Gilmartin who they drafted in 2014.

The Mets also drafted OF Braxton Lee, RHP Chris Mazza and C Mitch Ghelfi in the minor league portion of the draft.

Matt Cerrone of SNY gave his opinion on why the Mets should trade Noah Syndergaard to the Boston Red Sox for Xander Bogaerts.

On the other hand, Ken Davidoff of the New York Post believes that the Mets should hold onto their core and use free agency as the way to build up their team instead.

Amidst these trade talks, the San Diego Padres have emerged as a possible fit in a potential three-team trade involving the Mets and Miami Marlins.

Van Wagenen may not be done adding to the bullpen, but it is unlikely he goes after another high-end reliever according to Mike Puma of the New York Post. At this point the priority will be on adding an outfielder and a catcher.
