Good morning, Mets fans!

Today’s a sad day, Mets fans. There will be no more Mets baseball for the next six months.

Despite winning in dramatic fashion last night, the Mets’ 2019 campaign has come to a close. Dominic Smith played the hero, smacking a walk-off three-run shot in his first plate apperance off the IL.

Even though no October baseball will be played in Queens this year, the emergence of studs such as Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, and J.D. Davis and the continued success of cornerstones of Jacob deGrom and Michael Conforto gave the Mets hope towards the future.
