Good Morning Mets Fans!

The Mets will take on the Nationals at 7:08 p.m. tonight in the nation’s capital, hoping to avoid a three game sweep. They’ll hand the ball to their ace Jacob deGrom to try and stop the skid. He will face off against Tanner Roark for the Nats.

Yesterday, the Mets lost 11-4 thanks in large part to their nemesis Daniel Murphy. The former Met had a huge day at the plate, going 4-for-5 with five RBIs, and earning himself a one-minute standing ovation. Definitely a tough blow to the Mets who are trying to fight against some difficult odds.

On a lighter note, upon entering the clubhouse and being confronted by MLB officials who were there for random drug testing,  one Nationals player said: “Drug testing on the fourth of July? That’s un-American. I’m gonna test positive for hot dogs.” My money says it was Bryce Harper or Max Scherzer.
