Good Morning, Mets fans!

Despite rookie David Peterson having a stellar major league career so far, he has been bumped from this afternoon’s start against the Yankees with Robert Gsellman placed in the starting spot instead. Gsellman missed much of the season so far being on the injured list with right tricep soreness.

Gsellman (0-0, 5.19 ERA) will take the mound in today’s makeup game against the Yankees, where he will face J.A. Happ (1-1, 4.05 ERA).

Hopefully, he will be more consistent than previously as he has allowed five earned runs over a little more than 8 2/3 pitched this season. The game will be at 4:10 p.m. and can be viewed on SNY and WCBS 880.
