Good morning Mets fans! The New York Mets (24-25) completed a four-game sweep over the Washington Nationals (19-31) with a 6-4 victory on Thursday afternoon at Citi Field. It was the first time that the Mets had swept the Nats in a four-game series since their days as the Montreal Expos. The Mets will look to keep things up on Friday as they open a three-game set with the struggling Detroit Tigers who have loss nine straight games.
