Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets announced Friday a partnership with Samsung, making them Citi Field’s “official display and technology solutions partner.”

The partnership is going to bring a multitude of changes to Citi Field and the display of the game. There are supposedly going to be many new things added to the stadium, some of which being new ribbon boards, more than 1,300 televisions throughout the ballpark, and a larger and enhanced scoreboard.

Most of these changes are going to be implemented for the 2022 season, while some, like the scoreboard, will be changed for 2023.

Some additional things that were mentioned in the announcement. The first were televisions throughout the stadium that will have over 100 channels of content. The other may be one of the more underrated things from the announcement: “Double the number of slow-motion replay systems and three times as many cameras for increased game coverage.”

That will change the instant replay game at Citi Field, which will likely increase the precision of replay reviews.
