Good Morning Mets Fans! The weekend got off to a great start for the team, as they beat the reigning World Series champion Boston Red Sox 10-2 yesterday afternoon.

Zack Wheeler was nearly flawless on the mound, going four innings with three strikeouts and only allowing one hit. Pete Alonso showcased his tremendous power, hitting a solo home run that left the building. Brandon Nimmo also had a nice day at the plate, collecting two hits, two RBI, and a run scored.

Today, the Mets head back to St. Lucie where Steven Matz will be facing Austin Gomber and the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:10 p.m. The game can be seen on WPIX as well as listened to on WCBS 880.
