The Mets lost to the Marlins 1-0 yesterday. The news seemed to be surrounding Noah Syndergaard and his electric fastball. “Thor” was throwing 98-100 again and was showing off his breaking stuff. The tall righty struck out four batters in three innings. He might very well be the Mets Opening Day starter.

Amed Rosario left yesterdays game with knee discomfort. He told reporters that he first noticed the injury when he was rounding third base. He wasn’t concerned but he also will know more judging by how it feels today.
Jacob deGrom will throw live BP today. If all goes well, he will likely be pitching in games next. It would appear that Mickey Callaway has no plans to rush deGrom despite the fact he was considered the de facto Opening Day starter.
I don’t disagree with Callaway on this one. The last thing they should do is risk deGrom and cause a bigger injury than what is already there.
