Good Morning Mets Fans! Last night, the Mets outlasted the Phillies 7-6 in 11 innings as they cashed in an unearned run thanks to a critical Rhys Hoskins error.

After Brandon Nimmo gave the Mets a one-run lead in the sixth inning, the Mets bullpen faltered yet again as Mickey Callaway failed to go with his most trusted reliever, Edwin Diaz, during an eighth-inning rally.

Tonight, Steven Matz will take the ball for the Mets as he’ll look to build on his impressive start to the 2019 season.  Matz (1-0, 1.65 ERA) will face off against Nick Pivetta (1-1, 9.45 ERA) at 7:05 p.m, and the game can be viewed on SNY and WCBS 880.
