The official account of Cardenales de Lara posted that Acuña crushed a massive go-ahead home run to straightaway center field in the first inning of his last game against the Tiburones. This home run was his third home run in winter ball for the Cardenales.

In Miami, the Marlins re-signed right-handed pitcher Tyler Zuber to a minor league contract, according to a transaction update shared last night. Zuber posted an 11.70 ERA in nine appearances last season before missing the final month with a lat strain. The former Met owns a career 6.26 ERA across 64 2/3 innings, all in relief, and could compete for an outside bullpen spot in spring training.
