The New York Mets believe that Seth Lugo may be dealing with arm fatigue. This seemingly will have an impact on the team’s decision of choosing between Lugo and Rafael Montero for the final roster spot. More chatter likely will also come about on if the World Baseball Classic was to blame in hurting more than helping another player prior to the regular season. Lugo had a fine time in the tournament while pitching through some stressful innings which could be to blame for his current arm situation. Read more from Kristie Ackert in the NYDN.

Fred Kerber of the NY Post takes a look at the last year of Jose Reyes‘ life. From believing his career may be over due to his domestic violence issue, to reigniting his career in the place it all began. Reyes again will be looked at to be a catalyst atop the order in Queens. It could end up being another season where as Reyes succeeds, so does the Mets.

The Mets captain, David Wright will be a spectator come opening day and he could not be more disappointed. Wright is currently still on a strengthening program and has yet to throw a baseball since being shut down in February.
