Good morning, Mets fans!

On Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reported that despite initial reports of Francisco Lindor returning to the Mets for a simulated game on Tuesday, the shortstop will complete an additional rehab game in Triple-A Syracuse.

Assuming all goes well, Lindor could be activated as soon as Wednesday, and play as soon as Thursday after a rest day.

Lindor’s return is much needed for the Mets, who seem to be in a constant state of flux defensively. With Bo Bichette‘s offensive numbers up in June, Lindor returning would also heavily boost the Mets lineup.
