Mets manager Luis Rojas spoke to the media yesterday and would not commit to J.D. Davis as the starting third baseman due to the versatility on the roster. Rojas says Jeff McNeil and Jonathan Villar could also see time at third this year (Tweet from MMO’s Pat Ragazzo).

According to MLB Insider Jon Heyman, the Chicago Cubs have signed relief pitcher Brandon Workman to a one-year deal worth $1 million with the potential to reach $3 million from incentives.
