The Mets managerial search seems to be winding down as, reportingly, only three candidates are still in the running.

Andy Martino of SNY tweeted out that the Mets have narrowed their managerial search to the three internal candidates: Luis Rojas, Hensley Meulens, and Tony DeFrancesco.

Martino also believes that the Mets are going to try to trade Yoenis Cespedes and Jed Lowrie before spring training starts.

The Mets resigned backstop Rene Rivera to a minor-league deal, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. The contract includes an invite to major-league spring training.
