Good Morning Mets Fans!

Today, Matt Harvey will face off against Marlins pitcher Dillon Peters. Despite Yankee hitters teeing off him his last time out, Harvey has shown flashes of improvement on his horrid 2017 season.

The game starts at 1:10 p.m. in at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie. It can be seen on SNY and MLB Network.

Yesterday’s 5-1 defeat against the Miami Marlins was a poor showing for the Mets offense. The loss was the Mets seventh in their past eight games. Aside from multi-hit efforts from Luis Guillorme and Adrian Gonzalez, the Mets mustered almost nothing on the offensive side.

After an iffy first inning, Steven Matz pitched well the rest of the way, only allowing one more run and recording five strikeouts. In need of a decent outing, Rafael Montero did the opposite of that, permitting two runs and plunking Chad Wallach with the bases loaded. Jacob Rhame, competitor for Montero’s roster spot, threw another scoreless inning.
