Good Morning, Mets fans!

Yesterday was an off-day for the Mets, but it was certainly not an uneventful day as the Steve Cohen deal to purchase the team was made official. The news expectedly caused quite the positive uproar on Mets Twitter and amongst Mets fans everywhere.

Rick Porcello will take the mound for the Mets tonight as they open a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Band Park at 7:05 PM.

Per the New York Mets, the Sterling Partners have signed an agreement with Steve Cohen to which Steve Cohen would purchase the team and become the majority owner. The official sale is subject to the approval of Major League Baseball.
