Morning Briefing: David Stearns Open To Giving Terry Collins An Organizational Role

Spring training officially got underway Saturday as the New York Mets dropped their spring opener to the St. Louis Cardinals 10-5. They are once again set to play at Clover Park Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET, this time against the Houston Astros. The Astros come as a split-squad to face the Mets.

President of baseball operations, David Stearns, recently spoke about Terry Collins, stating, “Terry was a great manager in this organization. It’s important that we recognize the teams he helped to lead. We’re certainly open to him being part of the organization,” Stearns said.
