Good News: Curtis Granderson is close to getting a World Series ring.

The Even Better News: Chase Utley is one game away from being eliminated. The Brewers outlasted the Dodgers last night, defeating them by a score of 7-2 and will play a decisive Game Seven tonight at 8:09 p.m. for the last spot in the World Series.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports that Kim Ng, Chaim Bloom, Casey Close, Doug Melvin and Brodie Van Wagenen are still in the running for the Mets open GM position after the first round of interviews. 

Dave Littlefield, Gary LaRocque and DeJon Watson are all out of the running, per DiComo.
