The cross-town rivals re-signed manager Aaron Boone to a 3-year extension, with an option to return for a fourth year, according to Jack Curry of YES Network.

Yankees Managing General Partner Hal Steinbrenner released this statement below in regards to Boone’s new contract.

Yankees Senior Vice President Brian Cashman said, “I thought Aaron Boone was part of the solution. He wasn’t the problem.”
