Good morning, Mets fans!

With the trade deadline quickly approaching, a lot of rumors have been swirling in regards to the Mets. One of these rumors includes a number of teams checking in on closer Edwin Diaz. Mike Puma of the New York Post reports that the Blue Jays, Dodgers, Rays and Braves have all shown interest, giving the Mets another thing to think about over the next few days.

On Saturday, the Mets defeated the Pirates 3-0 behind an incredible performance by Steven MatzMatz threw a complete game shutout, giving up just five hits in all nine innings and collecting seven strikeouts on only 99 pitches.

Michael Conforto and J.D. Davis supplied the offense with homers, the former a solo home run in the sixth inning and the latter a two-run homer in the seventh.
