Black Monday in the sports world is the day after a season when managers or other coaches are let go by there current teams’. This is often common in the NFL but it applies to the MLB and the Mets currently.

The Mets lost 11-0 to the Phillies in the season finale. Noah Syndergaard looked very sharp in his two innings of work. The big righty was throwing triple digits and looked like himself, but the other pitchers did not have that easy of a time themselves. Dominic Smith continued to struggle on defense which is a big red flag, but the big news of the day came during the game when news Terry Collins would resign was leaked.
