Yesterday, Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez, a former pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, passed away after being involved in a traffic accident in Cuba. Gonzalez was one of the best pitchers in Cuba prior to coming to the MLB and was just 34-years-old. We at MMO send our condolences to his friends and family.

Mike Puma of the New York Post writes about the second base market for the Mets. He mentions Neil Walker, Dee Gordon, Jason Kipnis and Ian Kinsler as players who make sense for the team.

Of these players, Walker had the best OBP in 2017, Kinsler had the most home runs and Gordon had the best UZR. Kipnis when healthy, is probably the best combination of all three.
