The Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies are each one win away from meeting in the 2022 World Series. The Astros defeated the Yankees 5-0 on Saturday, increasing their series lead to 3-0. Meanwhile, the Phillies won 10-6 on Saturday, increasing their series lead to 3-1.

Each can wrap up their respective series Sunday. Game 5 of the NLCS in Philadelphia is 2:37 P.M. ET and Game 4 of the ALCS is 7:07 P.M. in the Bronx.

According to Zack Meisel of The Athletic, José Ramírez played through an injured thumb with the knowledge that there was no risk of making the injury worse. Per MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch, Yankees’ starting pitcher Nestor Cortes said that if Aaron Judge chooses to return to New York in 2023 that he should be named the team’s captain. He continued by saying that, “Most of the guys in there (the clubhouse) agree with me.”

The Houston Astros shut out the New York Yankees 5-0 in Game 3 of the 2022 ALCS on Saturday at Yankee Stadium to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. They can wrap the series up on Sunday, and advance to their fourth World Series since 2017.

The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the San Diego Padres 10-6 on Saturday. Philadelphia now owns a 3-1 series lead and can wrap the series up on Sunday and advance to the team’s first World Series since 2009.
