Good morning Mets fans!

Today, the Yankees and Astros will have first dibs at clinching their ALDS series as they’ll take on the Twins and the Rays tonight. Zack Greinke (18-5, 2.93 ERA) will start for Houston against Charlie Morton (16-6, 3.05 ERA) of the Rays, while the Yankees’ Luis Severino (1-1, 1.50 ERA) will face the Twins’ Jake Odorizzi (15-7, 3.51 ERA).

In what could be his final start as a Cardinal, Adam Wainwright delivered a three-hit shutout, punching out eight Braves on Sunday. The 38-year-old right-hander has pitched his entire 14-year career with St.Louis, emerging as a franchise icon. Even though Wainwright was vintage-Waino last night, the backend of the Cardinals bullpen couldn’t hold a 1-0 lead and lost 3-1. The Braves now lead the series 2-1.

Meanwhile, the Nationals’ league worst bullpen imploded against the Dodgers. After Anibal Sanchez put up five solid innings, the duo of Patrick Corbin and Wander Suero allowed seven runs to score. The Nationals lost 10-4, and now trail the series 2-1.
