Per Charles Gasparino of the Fox Business Network (FBN), a Major League Baseball ownership committee comprised of half a dozen owners discussed Steve Cohen’s proposed $2.4B purchase of the Mets at a meeting a few days ago. Gasparino reported that there were no major objections to the deal. The deal is expected to go before all league owners for final approval. 23 of 29 owners must accept/agree to deal. Gasparino reported that this is a developing story.
