Good morning Mets fans!

The American League has won the All-Star Game for the seventh year in a row.  The Mets had three All-Stars in Cleveland this year: Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil, and Jacob deGrom. After hitting 57 homers in the Home Run Derby in the derby the night prior, Pete Alonso had two at-bats on the day with a strikeout and a two-out, two-run single that scored two, shortening the American League’s lead to 4-3 which was the ultimate final of the 2019 All-Star Game.

McNeil had only one at-bat and lined out to Joey Gallo. DeGrom pitched the third inning for the National League throwing only seven pitches to George Springer, DJ LeMahieu, and Mike Trout to retire the side.
