Morning Briefing: A Long 47 Days Until Pitchers and Catchers

Hopefully, the general managers of baseball’s stoves are still hot from all the fruit cakes and Christmas cookies so they can start making moves soon. For the Mets, let’s just hope they make any move at this point over the next 47 days when pitchers and catchers report.

Terry Francona is huge on Callaway saying, “Once he made it known he wanted to manage, it was a matter of time until we lost him.” He also added that Callaway is a “star.” I’m a huge Francona fan so anyone with his stamp of approval is very much OK by me.

Juan Lagares is not on the Aguilas Cibaenas playoff roster. They reportedly gave him permission weeks ago.
